How to counter Farigiraf in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Farigiraf can be tricky to deal with, as it is only weak to Dark and Bug-type attacks. It has great bulk and high Attack and Special Attack, meaning it can withstand hits and strike back. Additionally, it can learn a wide variety of coverage moves to counter Pokémon that would normally be strong against it.
We recommend using a strong Dark of Bug-type Pokémon to deal with Farigiraf. Some good candidates would be Hydreigon, Kingambit, and Lokix. All three are immune to Farigiraf’s Psychic attacks and aren’t susceptible to any strong coverage moves that can play on their weaknesses, except for Hydreigon being 4x weak to Dazzling Gleam and Lokix being 2x weak. But both are fast enough to act before Farigiraf, allowing you to take it out first.
