Knowing your type match-ups is essential in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. If you’re having difficulty tackling a Fighting-Type Tera Raid or you can’t quite beat Eri, the Fighting-type Team Star Crew Member, maybe you need a different type of Pokémon on your team. Here are all the weaknesses and counters to Fighting-type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Best Pokémon Types to Counter Fighting-Type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Fighting-type Pokémon do not have an elemental explanation to explain their strengths and weaknesses. They are all weak against Flying, Fairy, and Psychic-type moves. Fighting-type moves are not very effective against Bug, Flying, Poison, and Psychic-type Pokémon. So, in general, using a Flying or Psychic-type Pokémon against a Fighting-type Pokémon will give you both an offensive and defensive advantage. Keep in mind that some Pokémon are dual-typed and this may change some calculations.
All Fighting-type Pokémon Strengths in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Fighting-type Pokémon moves are super-effective against Normal, Ice, Rock, Dark, and Steel-type Pokémon. If you bring a Pokémon with one of these types against a Fighting-type Pokémon, your opponent may be able to use that to their advantage. If any Flying or Psychic-type Pokémon has one of these other types as a combination, such as the Dual Psychic and Steel-type Pokémon, Bronzong, they will no longer have a defensive advantage against Fighting-type moves, and will be damaged normally.
