If you haven’t tried out Blizzard’s Heroes of the Storm yet then this week will be as good of a time as any, as the dev has announced that all characters will be free. Considering the game has a cast of 50 characters to choose from, you’ll certainly have a lot to play around with.
To make matters even better, Blizzard has also announced a 50% XP boost during this time. This will also be stacked with the 50% friend invite bonus, so there’s the potential to really make some good progress on your characters this weekend.
As for the start and end times for the events, the unlocked heroes event starts on Friday, April 8th at 7 PM EST and ends on Monday, April 11th at 7 PM EST. The XP boost starts at the same time as the unlocked heroes event, but will run an additional week to Monday, April 18th at 7 PM EST.
Heroes of the Storm is currently available only on PC, with Blizzard’s Tracer character from Overwatch joining the game soon.
