The release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus is right around the corner, and the mysterious Hisui region along with it. Like Alola and Galar before it, Hisui has some regional-exclusive Pokémon Forms and Evolutions living there. Nintendo has kept most of these new Forms under wraps so far, though, so we’ve had to rely on trailers to introduce us to a few.

Fortunately, we’ve compiled a list of all the new Pokémon revealed at this point. Here are all eight of the Hisuian Forms and Evolutions confirmed so far in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Hisuian forms and evolutions

Voltorb

  • Category: Sphere PokémonType: Electric/GrassHeight: 1'8"Weight: 28.7 lbs

The surface of Hisuian Voltorb’s body has a wood-grain-like makeup. Combined with the hole on the top of its head, this causes it to look very similar to Poké Balls of the Hisui region. What the inside of the Pokémon looks like, however, is a complete mystery. The inside of the hole is pitch-dark, but known to be filled with countless seeds that Voltorb will occasionally spout from its head.

Voltorb of the Hisui region are very friendly and cheerful, but have a habit of discharging its stored electricity all at once when it gets excited. The slightest provocation can set off such a discharge, causing it to frequently shock humans and other Pokémon near it. Because of this, Hisuian Voltorb is considered a nuisance in human settlements.

Growlithe

  • Category: Scout PokémonType: Fire/RockHeight: 2'7"Weight: 50 lbs

Growlithe in the Hisui region have developed long, voluminous fur that also retains heat, helping it thrive in the freezing environment of the Hisui region. The horn on its head is made of rock but is very brittle, so it’s used only when it will have the greatest effect.

Hisuian Growlithe have developed a system of watching over their territory in pairs. They are highly vigilant and unused to being around people, due to living apart from humans for an extended amount of time. Building trust with Growlithe in the Hisui region can take time but will certainly be worth it for the trainer.

Zorua

  • Category: Spiteful Fox PokémonType: Normal/GhostHeight: 2'4"Weight: 27.6 lbs

The Zorua of Hisui migrated there after being driven from other lands by humans. Unfortunately, the Zorua weren’t able to adapt to Hisui’s harsh environment and strife with other Pokémon, and they quickly perished. Their malice toward humans and Pokémon led to their souls being reborn in this Ghost-type form.

Hisuian Zorua draws and absorbs strength from the terror and fear of those who witness their illusions. They can also use the spiteful power emitted from the long fur on its head, neck, and tail to create ghostly mimicries of their targets. Zorua of the Hisui enjoy mimicking the appearance of lone travelers or Pokémon best.

Zoroark

  • Category: Baneful Fox PokémonType: Normal/GhostHeight: 5'3"Weight: 160.9 lbs

The terrifying illusions projected by Hisuian Zoroark’s long, writhing fur have the ability to inflict damage on their foes. These illusions harm the body from both inside and out, and witnesses who see them are said to be driven mad by the sheer terror and spiteful malice of Zoroark.

Zoroark in the Hisui region are extremely aggressive and hostile toward people and other Pokémon, but they appear to have a softer side shown toward those it considers close. Hisuian Zoroark have been seen protecting its pre-evolution, Zorua, and are invaluable allies to those it trusts.

Basculegion

  • Category: Big Fish PokémonType: Water/GhostHeight: 9'10"Weight: 242.5 lbs

In the Hisui region, Basculin are able to evolve into Basculegion. This evolution occurs when a Basculin is possessed by the souls of other Basculin in its school that perished during the journey upstream, which then attack opponents alongside the evolved Basculegion as if they had a will of their own.

This Pokémon is energized by the souls possessing them, allowing them to swim tirelessly. Basculegion are also known for being very sensitive to animosity, and will become enraged whenever they senses danger. When enraged, Basculegion will relentlessly attack the source of animosity until it is defeated.

Braviary

  • Category: Battle Cry PokémonType: Psychic/FlyingHeight: 5'7"Weight: 95.7 lbs

Rufflet in the Hisui region evolve into Hisuian Braviary, a much larger and more solitary form than the one previously discovered. This form of Braviary flies somewhere far off to the North during the Winter, but where they go is unknown.

Hisuian Braviary hunts by imbuing its screeches with psychic power to create powerful shock waves. Prey that is stunned and weakened by these shock waves is then seized and torn apart by Hisuian Braviary’s talons. It’s said that Braviary in the Hisui region can even use their psychic power to enter a trance-like state, boosting their physical abilities.

Kleavor

  • Category: Axe PokémonType: Bug/RockHeight: 5'11"Weight: 196.2 lbs

Scyther native to the Hisui region seem to be influenced by the special minerals found there, causing them to gain a new evolution—Kleavor. The process has hardened parts of their body to stone, which sharpen as Kleavor’s body becomes chipped during their fierce battles.

Kleavor is strong enough to deal devastating damage just by casually swinging its huge, axe-like arms around. They have been known to mark its territory by cutting down trees or marking symbols into tree trunks. It’s best to be careful when coming across rows of trees that have been cut down in a crisscross pattern, as that’s a sign that Kleavor could be nearby.

Wyrdeer

  • Category: Big Horn PokémonType: Normal/PsychicHeight: 5'11"Weight: 209.7 lbs

Wyrdeer is the evolved form of Stantler. Much larger than their previous evolution, Wyrdeer are prized in the Hisui region for their fur. The fur shed from its head, tail, and legs is used to make clothing that provides much needed protection against the cold.

The black orbs found at the bottom of Wyrdeer’s antlers can generate psychic energy, then unleash blasts powerful enough to distort space. The antlers can also act like antennae, helping Wyrdeer locate safe paths to travel.
