Private Matches may not be the go-to way to play Apex Legends, but for tournaments and the esports scene, they are the backbone of the community. The Raiders Collection Event patch has brought several improvements and additions to Private Matches for Observers, Admins, and Players alike. Let’s take a look at all of the changes to Private Matches brought to Apex Legends by the Raiders Collection Event patch.
Observer Mode Changes
- The in-game stats menu has been improved in two categoriesUser Interface (UI)ScoringLoba’s Black Market Boutique graphics on the map and minimap are now more translucentThis allows observers to see what is underneath it betterChoose whether or not the next ring is shown on the mapThis is done via a toggle that can be changed at any time
Application programming interface (API) Changes
- API in real-time will no longer have a delay when running matches back-to-backThere was formerly a delay in matches after the first if games were hosted consecutivelyNew real-time API events have been added Shots fired Kill awarded Line-by-line formatting Unique player IDs
General Changes
- Admins can now end matches no matter if they are an observer or a playerIn anonymous mode, there is now “[team] eliminated” text in the kill feed
