Traditionally, you leveled up in Pokémon Go by hitting a specific amount of XP. When you hit that point, you’d receive various rewards, and your account would be a higher level. Niantic wants to do something different for trainers making their way through levels 41 and 50. Now, once players hit the cap, they also had to complete a research task before making the jump to a higher level. The task usually comes with several requirements, and it challenges the player.

These are all of the tasks you need to complete to reach levels 41 to 50 in Pokémon Go, and the rewards you’ll receive for each one. We’re still learning the last few, so we’ll be updating this page once we learn them.

Level 41

  • Power up a Legendary Pokémon 20 times – 500 XPWin 30 raids – 500 XPCatch 200 Pokémon in a single day – 500Have 26,000,000 XP – 500

Rewards: 20 Ultra Balls, 20 max potions, 20 max revives, 20 Nanab berries, 1 incubator, 1 Premium Raid pass, 1 XL Rare Candy.

Level 43

  • Earn 100,000 Stardust – 500 XPUse 200 Supereffective Charged Attacks – 500 XPCatch 5 Legendary Pokémon – 500 XPEarn 5 Platinum Medals – 500 XPHave 42,500,000 XP – 500 XP

Rewards: 20 Ultra Balls, 20 Max Potions, 20 Max Revives, 20 Silver Pinap Berries, 1 Incubator, 1 Premium Raid pass, 1 XL Rare Candy.

Level 44

  • Win 30 Trainer Battles in the Great League – 500 XPWin 30 Trainer Battles in the Ultra League – 500 XPWin 30 Trainer Battles in the Master League – 500 XPWin 20 Trainer Battles in the GO Battle League – 500 XPHave 53,500,000 XP – 500 XP

Level 45

  • Defeat 100 Team Go Rocket Grunts – 500 XPPurify 100 Shadow Pokémon – 500 XPDefeat a Team Go Rocket Leader 50 times – 500 XPHave 66,500,000 XP – 500 XP

Rewards: 40 Ultra Balls, 40 max revives, 1 Elite Fast TM, 2 XL Rare Candies, 2 Incenses, 2 lucky eggs, 1 super incubator, 2 Lures, and a new hat.

Level 46

  • Complete 100 Field Research Tasks – 500 XPTake a snapshot of a Pokémon 7 days in a row – 500 XPMake 50 Excellent Throws – 500 XPHatch 30 Eggs – 500 XPHave 82,000,000 XP -500 XP
