Each month, a new rotation of Pokémon appear in raids all over Pokémon Go. These raids come three distinct ranks: one-star, three-star, and five-star. The strongest Pokémon are available through five-star raids, and these are normally the legendary ones. They are the toughest to come by, making them highly valuable. You typically need a team of four to six players working together to beat it. For three-star and one-star raids, you can typically beat these on your own, so long as you have a reliable team capable of taking them down. If you’re not too sure that you’ll beat a three-star raid, it never hurts to reach out to a friend for assistance.
There are also Mega Raids, which feature mega evolved Pokémon. If you’re looking to acquire mega energy in Pokémon Go, this is the quickest way to do it. Much like five-star raids, you will need a few friends to beat it. Every raid has a CP range that the Pokémon can appear in, and another CP range when it receives a weather boost, making it stronger to fight, but comes with additional rewards.
