Horizon Forbidden West is scheduled to arrive on Feb. 18, 2022, and players can’t wait to see the new machines Aloy will have to face. There are eight new machines that players will come across in Forbidden West. PlayStation’s official blog mentioned how these new machines would function, and here is all you need to know about them before starting the hunt in Horizon Forbidden West.

Clamberjaw

These machines are described as quick, fierce, and agile and resemble monkeys and baboons. Clamberjaw uses its claws and tail to collect scrap, and they can cling on to walls.

Tremortusk

Resembling Mammoth from the prehistoric era, Tremortusk is one of the machines used by the tribes. Tremortusk has nigh-indestructible armor and can destroy structures quite easily.

Shellsnapper

Resembling the amphibious snapping turtle, the Shellsnapper is a large machine that can camouflage itself. It digs deep and lies hidden in the ground to blend in with the surface.

Sunwing

Classified as an acquisition-class machine, Sunwings use their photovoltaic wings to gather energy. Resembling the Pterodactyl, these machines soar high in the sky harvesting solar energy.

Burrower

Classified as a recon machine, the Burrower functions like a Watcher to stun enemies and alert ally machines. They can also tunnel underground and resurface from random locations.

Clawstrider

Resembling the Dromaeosaur from the prehistoric age, Clawstriders classify as combat machines in Horizon Forbidden West. They are quick, agile, and Aloy can mount them to traverse the map at top speed.

Slitherfang

Classified as a fast combat machine, the Slitherfang is a gigantic viper that lashes out from long ranges. The viper unleashes its full arsenal once this machine assumes the coiled stance. The power scales on its back fuel the lashes, but it looks like a weak point on this apex predator.

Bristleback

Classified as herd-based acquisition machines, Bristleback resembles warthogs. They are highly aggressive and charge at opponents with their sturdy tusks.
