In New World, there are a ton of skills that range from crafting to weapon masteries. Here you will find everything you need to know about all skills in the game.
Weapon Masteries
Weapon masteries are, in short, the skills and abilities you have with specific weapons and the game’s form of a classless system. Instead of choosing a class, players pick weapon masteries and become better at using a particular type of weapon. Here are all of the weapons players can choose in the game:

Weapon Masteries are also split into several categories, with some being melee, others being ranged, and some being both magical and ranged. Each weapon mastery and weapon type can also serve a different role in the game. For example, the life staff serves as the healer’s weapon and class, and a sword and shield combo is ideal for tanks.
Trade Skills
Trade skills fall under three categories, all of which make up the resource harvesting and crafting system. The first category is crafting, and it consists of seven skills as listed below.
After crafting skills, we have the refining category, and it involves five skills required to make materials for most items in the game.
Next for trade skills is the Gathering category. Gathering Skills are what govern what you can and cannot harvest as resources in the game. You will need to level these skills by gathering low-level resource nodes until you unlock more. Doing so will allow you to unlock more items with other skills and turn them into powerful weapons, armor, etc. That said, here are all of the Gathering Skills in New World.
