Each month Pokémon GO renews its list of raid bosses (or raids) as part of its temporary events. In these activities that can be accessed through raid passes, which can be level 1, 3, 5, and Mega, we can face powerful Pokémon along with more players to weaken them and subsequently get them for our team or Pokédex.

This guide compiles a list sorted by category with all the raid bosses available during this month of January 2023 in Pokémon GO.

ALL raid bosses in January 2023: level 1

This level is the easiest regarding raids and difficulty (this level also includes the level 2 raids that existed previously in the game). The raids of this level are represented by a pink egg symbol above the gyms.

  • Vulpix*: Fire type, PC rank 563 – 504.
  • Alola Vulpix*: Ice type, PC range 463 – 504.
  • Shinx*: Electric type, PC range 458 – 500.
  • Buneary*: Normal type, PC range 669 – 719.
  • Bunnelby*: Normal type, PC range 282 – 316.

Raid bosses: Level 3

The level 3 raid bosses in January 2023 are represented by the yellow egg symbol above the gyms. These are brutal level raids (this level includes the level 4 raids that existed earlier in the game).

  • Wigglytuff: Normal and Fairy type, PC rank 1,034 – 1,101.
  • Shuckle*: Bug and Rock type, PC range 189 – 231.
  • Floatzel: Water type, PC range 1,323 – 1,396.
  • Druddigon*: Dragon type, PC range 1,487 – 1,561.

ALL raid bosses in January 2023: Level 5

This is the highest difficulty level for raids, only recommended for players with better equipment and powerful creatures. Raids of this level are represented with a black egg symbol above the gyms. The bosses of this level tend to vary frequently every month, offering quite rare and unusual Pokémon.

  • Regice*: Ice type, PC rank 1,703 – 1,784 (available until Wednesday, January 25, 2023).
  • Tapu Koko*: available from Wednesday, January 25, 2023, until Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

Mega Raid Bosses

This level of raids is for Pokémon that have Mega Evolutions, where you can gain Mega Energy corresponding to the Pokémon you are facing. The faster you win the raid, the more Mega Energy you get. These raids are represented with a brown egg. You can’t capture Mega Evolution Pokémon, but you can capture their standard version.

  • Mega-Lopunny*: Normal and Fighting-type, PC rank 1,112 – 1,177 (available until January 25, 2023).
  • Mega-*: available from January 25 to February 1, 2023.
