If you want to stay competitive in Splatoon 3, you’ve got to know where to get the best gear for your inkling or octoling. We’ll give you all the details on Splatoon 3’s shops and tips for navigating in their menus, so you can spend more time slinging ink and dominating the opposition.
Ammo Knights: the weapon shop in Splatoon 3
Visit Sheldon at Ammo Knights for all your weapon needs. It unlocks at player level two. Weapons can be purchased with Sheldon Licenses which you receive for player levels gained. Don’t worry, they’re fairly easy to earn so you can try out new weapons quickly. The weapons in Splatoon 3 come in loadouts of a main weapon, a grenade, and a special weapon. These loadouts can not be modified.
Naut Couture: the headgear shop in Splatoon 3
Gnarly Eddy just works at Naut Couture, so don’t expect too much out of him. It unlocks at player level four. Here you can buy headgear from sunglasses to catcher’s helmets. Style matters, but don’t forget to check each piece of headgear’s abilities, too. All purchases here are made with coins.
Man-o’-Wardrobe: the clothing shop in Splatoon 3
You can find Jel La Fleur at Man-o’-Wardrobe selling the latest and greatest clothing in Splatsville. It unlocks at player level four. The shirts that you purchase here will have abilities like other pieces of gear. You’ll need coins to purchase the shirts, but you can change your legwear just for looks anytime you want.
Crush Station: the shoes shop in Splatoon 3
Mr. Coco can get you hooked up with some sleek shoes at Crush Station. It unlocks at player level four. Pay attention to each pair of shoes’ abilities before making your final purchases with coins.
Hotlantis: the general store in Splatoon 3
The last shop to visit is Harmony’s Hotlantis, a general store that sells everything you could ever want to decorate your locker: stickers, posters, even squid cushions. It unlocks at player level four, and everything purchased here requires coins.
Harmony will also give you the catalogue, a rewards pass that updates seasonally and gives you items with each new level you reach. Catalogue levels are gained by playing the various game modes in Splatoon 3. Visit with Harmony to collect these rewards.
Shop tips for Splatoon 3
You can walk around Splatsville’s streets to each individual shop. You can also instantly go to a shop from the lobby or open street by pressing X for Menu, highlighting the shop you want to go to on the map tab, then pressing A. Once you’re in a shop, you can quickly travel to the others using the L and R buttons. Also, if you want to see more details about an item in a shop, press ZL for more information.
The food and drink vendor in Splatoon 3
There is a smaller vendor in Splatsville, the food and drink vendor, that you will not be able to get to instantly from the Map Menu. The food and drink vendor is located in the Multiplayer Lobby, to the right when you enter. You’ll need food and drink tickets to purchase anything from her.
Grizzco in Splatoon 3
Mr. Grizz is more than just a vendor, he’s an entrepreneur. You can fast travel to him from your map menu at the bottom of the leftmost column. Grizzco includes its own PvE game mode called Salmon Run. You’ll gather Salmon Eggs for Mr. Grizz and exchange them for reward capsules based on your performance. Reward capsules can be exchanged for cosmetic items at the desk to the right of Mr. Grizz.
