The elegant cat with the glow ups.

You’re either here because you want to see what the grass starter of the ninth generation is going to turn into or because you’re torn on which one to pick. In any case, worry not. These are all of the evolutions of Sprigatito in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and how you can get them.

All Sprigatito Evolutions in Scarlet and Violet

Sprigatito evolves at level 16 into its first evolution, Floragato. It’ll have more moves to learn in later levels compared to if it were still a Sprigatito. Like many evolutions including the other starters, it’ll also have stronger stats all around.

Next, Floragato evolves into Meowscarada at level 36. At this final evolution stage, the Pokemon then becomes a Grass and Dark type. While still weak to fire, ice, poison, and flying-type moves, this Pokemon then will also become susceptible to fighting and fairy-type moves. It’ll also be even more susceptible to bug-type moves because both grass and dark are weak to that move type.

If you want to skip the evolution process and try to snag a Floragato or a Meowscarada out in the wild, you cannot do that. The only way you’ll be able to obtain these Pokemon is to trade with someone, pick Sprigatito as a starter, or eventually use Pokemon Home to upload and reclaim your mon as it becomes available next year. For Pokedex reasons, you will be able to see its evolutions later down the line. If you want the full entry, you do need to have it actually owned.

To determine its viability when the competitive scene rises is too soon. Given that grass/dark types tend not to do well in the meta, Sprigatito may only just be your adventure pal in your story.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
