Altaria can be a tricky Pokémon to face in Scarlet and Violet, especially Grusha’s Altaria. You will want to use one of the Pokémon types above to counter this Flying/Dragon-type Pokémon, though we don’t recommend Dragon as it will also be weak to Altaria. Rock is a great choice, as it will counter Altaria, including Grusha’s, with its Ice Tera type.
Altaria has high Special Defense and Defense, with decent numbers in its other stats. So you will want a powerful Pokémon that can hit Altaria hard. Its defense is slightly lower, so we recommend using a physical attacker to take this Pokémon down.
