It would make sense for there to be a delay due to bug testing, but that seems to have not been the issue at all. It was bizarre enough for a version of a licensed game to get such an extreme delay anyway. The key to licensed stuff is to strike while the iron’s hot, and a July release would put it closer to the Blu-Ray release hype train than anything else. At that point, it might be better to offer up a deluxe edition with the Xbox One game and a Blu-Ray just to entice people to get the Xbox One version. Now that it’s out, who knows where this leaves the physical version of the Xbox One release. It could come out in stores today, or maybe later this week. The odds of it not hitting until July certainly seem minimal though.
