We have officially hit the halfway mark in November and the month has already had a number of amiibo releases, from those in the Super Smash Bros. line to the new Animal Crossing line. Many others like Mewtwo and Falco may be more highly anticipated overall, but there is no arguing that this latest release is the biggest of all.
Coming in at about a foot tall, the Mega Yarn Yoshi release is finally here. Toys R Us has been on a roll in the exclusives department this month, starting with the Mii Fighters 3-pack on November 1 and then the exclusive Villager restock on November 8.
Now it is Mega Yarn Yoshi’s turn, which is available starting this morning, exclusively at Toys R Us. Due to this amiibo being much larger than any before, the price is a lot more than others, coming in at just over three times the price of a regular sized amiibo at $39.99.
According to the Toys R Us Holiday Big Book, stores should have a minimum of 18 of Mega Yarn Yoshi, which hopefully should be enough with the higher price, but I still wouldn’t take any chances with this one being more limited than any other exclusive in awhile.
Toys R Us now has their holiday hours and will be opening at 9 am this morning, so I would try and get there as close to opening as you can, just to be sure. This could be a case where few care about this, but with it being very collectible and limited, you might not want to chance it.
