How to Buy and Use the Pro Decorating License in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
To buy the Pro Decorating License, you must first visit the Resident Services building, where you normally find Tom Nook and Isabelle. Once you are inside, on your right is the Nook Stop terminal, where you pay off your loans and access the Nook Shop. Choose Nook Miles to find a list of all the new items available for purchase. If you do not see new items in your list, make sure you have updated the newest 2.0 update before proceeding. Once you have the latest update, you will find the Pro Decorating License priced at 2,500 Nook Miles among the new items. If you have enough miles, simply purchase the license to unlock pro decorating.
When you have bought the license, go to your house. Messages will appear on your screen to provide an overview of how to use your new pro decorating abilities. You are now able to use accent wallpapers in your home and ceiling decorations. To set an accent wall, switch to decorating mode and find the wallpaper you would like to use. Press X on your Switch controller to use the wallpaper as an accent. If you have any light fixtures that you want to place, you can switch modes by pressing the + button.
