The 2.0 update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released a day early, and with it came numerous new features. Some new additions include ordinances, DIY storage and many other new items to discover. The update also introduced new customization options that you can obtain by purchasing a pro decorating license. You can use the license to unlock accent walls and ceiling decoration options. While the game shows you how to add these decorations, it does not go in-depth on how to remove them. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to remove an accent wall in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
How To Remove Accent Wall in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Before adding and removing accent walls, you will first need to buy a pro decorating license from the Nook Stop terminal for 2500 Nook Miles. Once you purchase the license, you will unlock the ability to add accent walls. Go to your house and pop-up messages will appear explaining how to add accent walls. These messages will tell you to go into decorating mode, select a wallpaper, and press the “X” button on your controller to add an accent wall.
To remove the accent wall you have added, press “X” while hovering over the wallpaper. The wall will change back to whichever wallpaper you had on before adding the accent wall. You can also press X on another wallpaper to change the accent wall if you do not wish to remove it altogether. If you are unsure which wallpaper is your accent wall, look for a wallpaper that has a white circle with a blue checkmark in the top-right corner. Your regular wallpaper will have a blue circle with a white checkmark in the corner. The image above shows the accent wall and the controls to add and remove it.
