Announced earlier today in a Nintendo Direct, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting a paid DLC and a free November update. The paid DLC and 2.0 update will be available on November 5.
A preview for the Happy Home Paradise Animal Crossing DLC reads the following
Players who live to modify their homes and islands will love the opportunity to play architect for vacationers looking for their dream homes. The new DLC allows players to add “partition walls to homes, counters of varying heights, pillars, modifying the lengths and widths of houses, and the ability to add soundscapes to homes” to create the perfect atmosphere. It even allows you to move vacationers into the same house together.
The Animal Crossing November update will bring back another familiar face: Brewster. His coffee shop, The Roost, will be returning to the museum, and players can enjoy a cup of coffee with their favorite villagers. Along with Brewster, Kapp’n, Katrina, Tortimer, Harriet, Wardell, and more will make an appearance.
Group stretching will be available as a group activity in the square along with a slew of new home modifications and Island Ordinances. These new ordinances will allow players to keep shops open later and more. Last but not least, gyroids fragments can be found around the island.
The paid Animal Crossing DLC will cost $24.99, and preorders will begin on Friday, October 29. However, the DLC will be available for no extra cost to players who are subscribers to the new Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
