Fans were treated to a supposed leak today that suggests Marvel’s favorite microscopic wisecracker, Ant-Man, will be joining Fortnite. In Season 5 of Fortnite, Zero Point Portals have sprung up. These are interdimensional rifts that introduce characters from various franchises into the Fortnite universe. To this point, characters from all over have joined the fray including fan favorites from Street Fighter, Terminator, and even Alien. The portals offer a small glimpse of another universe that hints at the impending character release.

The newest rift, the Small Fry Portal, appears to suggest the arrival of Marvel’s Ant-Man. The image is that of a forest viewed from the height of an insect. When you pair that with audio of tiny, scurrying feet, the choices are narrowed down considerably.

While the arrival of Ant-Man has not been made official, fans have all but locked-in their guess for the newest character. This revelation should come as no surprise to inveterate Fortnite fans who have already seen the arrival of the Tron franchise as well as an upcoming comic miniseries with DC’s Batman. When it comes to big-name crossovers, Fortnite never fails to impress.

To date, the Zero Point Portals have brought a myriad of legendary franchises to Fortnite. The list includes:

  • The Walking Dead
  • The Avengers
  • Predator
  • Terminator
  • Tron
  • Street Fighter
  • Alien

Now, with the Small Fry Portal, fans can tack Ant-Man onto that list. If fans needed any further confirmation, last year, Twitch streamer and Epic Games partner, Squatingdog, received a care package rife with hints about the upcoming Fortnite season. As an example, the package contained wrist-wraps, as a clear nod to Ryu from Street Fighter.

Also in that care package? An ant farm.
