Apex Legends has become one of the most addicting and well-made battle royale games in the past few months. It’s an incredible feat seeing as the game launched nearly out of the blue three months ago. Since that time the developers at Respawn and EA say they’ve banned more than 700,000 players.

The ban has topped more than 770,000 players of the free-to-play game since its release on February 5th. That number may increase as the months go by thanks to the efforts of EA Security and Fraud, the Origin teams, DICE, FIFA, Capital Games, and Easy-Anti-Cheat. They’ve been working together to find and stop cheaters and plan more updates to help in the future.

The details were released in a post on the Apex Legends website.

Those stats also helped to block more than 300,000 new accounts created for the battle royale game. The team has also implemented tools to crack down and ban spam accounts, with just over 4,000 accounts banned in the last 20 days.

This has helped the developers reduce the amount of cheating and spamming on PC. They say the total matches on PC impacted by this behavior has been reduced by over half in just the last month.

Apex Legends saw more than 50 million players in the first month of the game’s launch.
