The L-Star will be the next weapon to arrive in Apex Legends. It was revealed during today’s EA Play event. The L-Star (Lastimosa Armory Assault Rifle) is a particle accelerating light machine gun that first arrived in the series in Titanfall 2.
It is very much a rapid-fire weapon, with a tight spread that is ideal for hip firing. It can also break through doors, making it the equal of your mighty foot! When the weapon arrives in-game, it might just fall into line how it worked in Titanfall 2, which means a lot of damage, and a high fire rate. It was balanced out with a long reload time, however.
The weapon will only be available through care packages that spawn on the map, so will be one of the rarest weapons in the game. It is also sure to generate plenty of player interactions as people try to get their hands on it.
The weapon will arrive in the patch that also rebalances (yes, Mozambique is getting a buff) some of the games other weapons, and it is impossible to know right now if the gun will be the same as it is in Titanfall 2. It should be reasonably close, as this has been the case for other weapons in the game.
The L-Star, the new character Watson, and a new game mode will all arrive in-game on July 2, at the start of the next season.
