There have been many mysteries, rumors, and delays out there about when Apex Legends would finally be ported Nintendo Switch. The last report was that the port would launch in February, but even that turned out to be false. The real release date isn’t that much further out. Apex Legends is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 9.
Respawn Entertainment has teamed up with Panic Button to port Apex Legends to Nintendo Switch, the same studio that handled several other ports for Nintendo Switch, including Rocket League, DOOM Eternal, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and Warframe.
“Porting Apex Legends to its smallest screen yet is a major achievement,” said Game director Chad Grenier. “We couldn’t have done it without our friends at Panic Button. We’re very proud of what the team has been able to achieve with some smart optimizations for the Switch port to deliver a full-featured Apex Legends experience on the go.”
Switch players will receive a double XP for the first two weeks after launch. Additionally, a bonus 30 battle pass levels as Apex Legends releases on Nintendo Switch a few weeks after the start of Season 8: Mayhem.
Apex Legends is currently available on Playstation, Xbox, and PC (Steam and Origin).
