DC Comics finally celebrates the King of the Seven Seas‘ 80th birthday in August with a 100-page anniversary special. Going on sale August 31st, the Aquaman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular anthology book features stories from a treasure trove of creators.

The book’s writers include Marguerite Bennett, Chuck Brown, Becky Cloonan, and Geoff Johns. Dan Jurgens, Francis Manapul, and Michael Moreci will also have stories featured. And Jeff Parker, Stephanie Phillips, Brandon Thomas, and Dan Watters will also be contributing. When it comes to artists, we’ll see work from Steve Epting, Valentine de Landro, and Pop Mhan. The book will also feature art by Miguel Mendonça, Paul Pelletier, and Henry Prasetya. And Evan “Doc” Shaner, Trungles, and more will also be joining the fun.
DC Comics’ description of the Aquaman’s 80th-anniversary special says:
“This all-star-filled anthology spans across the ocean king’s legacy, not just celebrating his own triumphs, but also those of his greatest allies and enemies.”
Additionally, the cover price will be $9.99, just like the publisher’s previous anniversary specials. This special will also feature decade-themed variant covers from more than one famous artist. The book’s main cover is by Ivan Reis, who helped launch the character’s self-titled series during the New 52. Meanwhile, the variant lineup includes:
