For those who enjoy a bit of anime-related stealth action, Aragami has been your go-to for some time. Coming from the team at Lince Works, the title has proven to be excellent with great level design, solid stealth mechanics, nice visuals, and a killer soundtrack. There’s nothing quite like Aragami, and the developers are ready to take it to the next level. At Gamescom this year, the team announces that Aragami 2 is in development, slated for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC in 2021. At the event, the team commenced the news with a beautiful trailer that you can find below.
Aragami 2 takes place 100 years after the events of the original game, unfolding a new story for the undead assassin. Rival factions are still hungering for the taste of power, and it’s up to you to intervene. This time around, you won’t have to go it alone. The team encourages players to bring along two other friends, engaging in teamwork to take down targets. Plus, you know, laughing when your friend inevitably fails. The full campaign is playable in co-op too, making for a lot of potential enjoyment.
With 600,000 copies sold on the first Aragami, there are no doubts this game will be bigger and better. Don’t just take that from me though. David Leon, Game Director on Aragami 2, believes in this vision as well:
We can’t wait to see more of Aragami 2 either, but we’d love to see what you have to say. Does Aragami 2 excite you from the initial reveal? For those who played the original Aragami, what did you think of it? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
