Miriam Margolyes and Arnold Schwarzenegger starred together in 1999’s End of Days. During an interview on Australia’s I’ve Got News For You podcast, the 81-year-old actress answered that one actor she did not like working with was The Terminator actor as he farted in her face on purpose while shooting the action-horror film.

It did not end there, though. Before mentioning the farting incident between Miriam Margolyes and Arnold Schwarzenegger, she had other issues with him. To her, he was “full of himself” and “rude. She also took issue with his political affiliation as a Republican, which was what he was under when he was the governor of California from 2003 to 2011, making him still the latest Republican to be governor of the state.

A gassy relationship between Miriam Margolyes and Arnold Schwarzenegger

Getting called out over the farting incident has not garnered a response from the classic action movie star. However, his son Patrick Schwarzenegger has responded with a laughing emoji and tweeting, “wtf.”

End of Days was not even a well-received film as the action lead stops Satan in New York City. It was directed by Peter Hyams (Enemies Closer) and written by Andrew W. Marlowe (Castle). Starring with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Miriam Margolyes were Gabriel Byrne (Hereditary), Robin Tunney (The Mentalist), Kevin Pollak (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), CCH Pounder (Avatar), and Derrick O’Connor (Lethal Weapon 2). The film grossed $211 million worldwide off its $100 million budget.

Both Miriam Margolyes and Arnold Schwarzenegger have kept busy over the years. She recently starred in Call the Midwife and The Sandman. Looking ahead, she will star in Merry Hall, Midnight Story, Next to You, and My Happy Ending. Her End of Days costar has been slowing down over the years with consistent projects with Terminator: Dark Fate. He will be in Kung Fury 2, Triplets, The Legend of Conan, and Outrider.
