Assassin’s Creed: Gold, an original audio story will be coming to Audible at the end of February.
This Audible Original tells an entirely new story in the Assassin’s Creed universe. It follows gambler and hustler Aliyah Khan who loses to Assassin Gavin Banks. In order to repay him, Aliyah joins the Assassin’s and learns of the “centuries-long battle between the Assassins and Templars.” She must decipher the secret message written on an illegal form of currency in the Great Recoinage of 1696.
Assassin’s Creed is famous for its depictions of real-life historical characters such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Julius Ceasar. Assassin’s Creed: Gold will be no different. Isaac Newton, the Warden of the Royal Mint and scientist will get the AC treatment. Also included in the story is William Chaloner, a con-artist and counterfeiter who was found guilty by Newton. As for Assassins, we get blind Assassin Omar Khaled and his trainer Rose Galloway.
Riz Ahmed, who you’ll probably recognize from Rogue One and Venom will be the lead actor in the audio story. Anthony Head, who starred in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Merlin and an episode of Doctor Who will also star. It’s likely that Anthony Head will play Gavin Banks with Riz Ahmed as the Assassin Khaled.
A familiar face
It features one character fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise will be familiar with – Shaun Hastings. Shaun was introduced in Assassin’s Creed II as a member of the modern-day Assassin’s Brotherhood. He helped Desmond enter the animus after escaping from Abstergo Industries and has been in every title up to Syndicate. Actor Danny Wallace will be reprising the role for which he won two BAFTA Games Awards.
