Due to the nature of storytelling across the Assassin’s Creed series, the franchise could, and probably will, go on telling us stories for years to come. The first game only released in 2007, and since then, there have been more games than I care to count.

Entitled Assassin’s Creed: Gold, the audio drama comes in at a lengthy 4 hours and 40 minutes and features Buffy’s very own Anthony Head in the role of Isaac Newton as well as Venom’s Riz Ahmed as a character named Omar Khalid.

Written by Anthony Del Col, Assassin’s Creed: Gold tells the story of Aliyah Khan, who is described as a card shark and hustler who has been dealt a rough hand in life. After losing to a man named Gavin Banks, Aliyah is forced to become an Assassin in order to pay him back.

During her training, Aliyah must discover the secrets of an illegal currency that dates back to the Great Recoinage of 1696.

If you want to try it and are a new customer, a 30-day free trial is available from Audible. If, like me, you’ve already used that, a monthly subscription is available, or you can buy the drama outright. I’ll apologize as I don’t have the US prices to hand, but in Britain, the outright cost is £19.99, so I’ll imagine it’s at least comparable in the states.

Now, if only I can convince someone to make an audio drama for Resident Evil.
