Either character will give you a similar experience.
With Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players have the choice of selecting one of two siblings. Alexios and Kassandra are both descendants of King Leonidas and both are capable warriors with no gameplay differences between the two characters. So which one should you pick and what happens if you pick one or the other?
Well, if you’re having trouble picking a character because you’re worried that the story is going to be different… it isn’t. There are some slight differences to the way that the cutscenes in the game play out, but basically if you pick either Alexios or Kassandra the two characters will just be swapped for cutscene purposes. The characters and other NPCs in the world will have almost identical dialogue with your character regardless of if you pick either one.
While these story elements will largely stay unchanged depending on whether you pick Alexios or Kassandra, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make the story your own with different branching dialogue options and the ability to choose the outcomes of different events in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey storyline.
There is no gameplay advantage to choosing Alexios over Kassandra and the story will remain largely the same if you choose either character. If you are having trouble picking one of the two characters just pick the one you’re going to want to look at for a long time. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is an incredibly long game.
