In an interview taken place during the reveal of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate earlier today, it was revealed that the game will be a return to the roots of the Assassin’s Creed franchise with a complete solo experience.
During an interview earlier today with GameInformer, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Creative Director, Marc-Alexis Côté talked about how the game will not include any multiplayer or cooperative elements. This is a change from even the less multiplayer focused entry like Unity which was heavily weighted in the cooperative aspect. Many argued that it was that aspect that had a lot of technical issues. It seems by avoiding the feature all together Ubisoft looks to focus on delivering a comprehensive and less bug filled Assassin’s Creed entry than last year. Here’s what Marc-Alexis Côté had to say:
“It’s really about returning to our roots. Returning to what made this series such a success. For us, it’s truly the single-player experience, and investing in that that’s going to make Assassin’s Creed feel more modern and fresh for our players.”
Fans can’t argue with that, myself personally am excited to tackle it as it means getting that platinum or 1000G will be all the more easier. Do you think it is the right move or will you miss the multiplayer/cooperative aspects of recent Assassin’s Creed titles.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is set to release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 23rd. It will then be followed by a PC version afterwards.
