Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch!

The Assassin’s Creed series has become wildly popular since its inception in 2007. However, Nintendo fans have been missing so much of the series on their newest console. Currently, only Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey are available to Switch owners. Because of the popularity of the series, it seems like Nintendo intends to change this.

Assassin’s Creed is an expansive series, including 10 main games, 17 spinoffs and several transmedia projects. Thus, the options are plentiful when it comes to another port onto the Switch. Nintendo didn’t pick just one title, though. That’s right; multiple Assassin’s Creed titles are about to become available on the Switch!

The Rebel Collection will include both Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed Rogue. It’s likely that these titles were chosen because of their unique natures and positive reception.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag takes place upon the vast Caribbean Sea. As the most feared pirate on the open water, you’ll have plenty of locales to explore. The game’s map is comprised of plentiful islands and port towns which dot the ocean and coasts. This creates what is arguably the largest and most diverse world in the franchise. Purchasing the Rebel Collection will also grant you access to all single-player DLC for Black Flag.

In Assassin’s Creed Rogue, players will have another unique experience. For once in the series, players will assume the role of a Templar. You’ll have to navigate the American landscape during the treacherous French-Indian War, hunting assassins.

All told, Nintendo couldn’t have picked better titles for an exclusive Switch collection! Fans of Assassin’s Creed will be able to take these unique titles on-the-go with their Switch on December 6, 2019!
