Nintendo of America hasn’t been very forthcoming in regard to when new entries of their mega-popular Amiibo figures will be released to stores. With Wave 3 of the Super Smash Bros. themed line right around the corner, fans are desperate to find out when the new figures will launch, so that they can be sure to get their favorite figures before they have their prices jacked up by scalpers. The dates still aren’t certain, but a few online retailers have leaked some info that seems to reveal the official dates for many of the figures in Amiibo Wave 3....

Apex Legends Mobile, a mobile version of the online battle royale Apex Legends, dropped many new features in its fourth closed beta testing period. Many of these new mechanics and modes are exclusive to the mobile version, which gives Apex Legends Mobile more content in terms of gameplay than Apex Legends itself. According to Twitter users with access to the beta, the new features introduced are a six-versus-six team deathmatch game mode, three-versus-three Arenas, exclusive Legend perks, Kings Canyon POI for multiplayer, quicker 10-squad matches with 30 players, a permanent ranked mode, and loot packs....

Ever since Epic Games filed an antitrust lawsuit against Apple for removing its popular mobile title Fortnite from the App Store, the two industry giants have been going back and forth with their blame games. In the court trial, Apple recently said that Epic wants it to be like Android. And now, an Apple executive has testified that Apple has earned over $100 million via commissions from Fortnite. During a hearing last month, the Chief Compliance Officer at Apple Kyle Andeer, who is also a former government antitrust lawyer, reportedly testified that Apple does not create a public profit and loss statement for the App Store....

Chinese giant Huawei has gone through a lot in just the last few months, with a US imposed ban causing multiple tech giants from cutting ties with the company, telecom operators declining orders for Huawei phones, and entire nations considering banning Huawei outright from their 5G rollout plans — all of this, because the US believes that Huawei is funded by the Chinese military and government and gives away consumer data to the Chinese government....

Twitch streamer Asmongold revealed on a recent stream that he has spoken with some U.S. government officials, including Senator Ted Cruz’s office, about microtransactions in video games. As reported by Dexerto, Asmongold has been vocal about his negative attitudes toward the predatory practice of microtransactions and loot boxes in games because they take advantage of children and those with addictive tendencies. But they’re becoming increasingly common, even as Diablo Immortal ignited controversy over expensive microtransactions — specifically, the exorbitant cost of a full character upgrade....

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey could be receiving yet another content update. Even though we’re already projected to what’s next for the series, with a Vikings-based chapter reportedly on its way, Odyssey has apparently still something to say. The title is indeed going to receive one more content update, which could grant it more and more hours of gameplay. Community manager Dominik Voigt has indeed posted, and yet deleted, a Story Creator Mode announcement for the game....
